Indoor pools maintenance

The THAC (indoor 8 lane and dive pool) at Perth HPC will be closed for essential maintenance from 5 - 30 January 2026 inclusive.

During this time, you can still access the outdoor 10 lane pool. Bookings and clubs have been accommodated in the outdoor 8 lane and outdoor 10 lane pools. Patrons will need to tag in at reception and proceed down the concourse, however the wet corridor and changerooms are still accessible for those that need them.

Swim School Holiday Program lessons have been relocated to the outdoor 10 lane. Enrolled families should have received a confirmation email. If you have not received this or have other questions, please contact swimschool.perthhpc@venueswest.wa.gov.au

Given the reduction in swimming lanes, please remember to check our lane availability page on our website before visiting, and book in advance.

Rest assured we have assessed possible dates and selected the period with the least impact across all of our valued stakeholders and patrons. With swimming carnival season starting February, it is critical to complete these works in January.

Maintenance includes but is not limited to; upgrading the starting blocks, gutters and electrical safety, repairing balance tanks, replacing the dive pool sprayers, pump, worn pool tiles and fluorescent lights and more. Please expect occasional noise and grinding in the THAC hall.

We understand that pool closures can be inconvenient, however they are expected every two or three years to keep the facilities in safe working order. Perth HPC is fortunate to have additional aquatic facilities to continue welcoming patrons through the doors even during maintenance periods.
