Every year we welcome thousands of Western Australians, as well as national and international guests, to use our swimming and aquatic facilities for recreational, training or competition purposes.

Built to cater for high performance use, members and casual users swim in the same world class facilities as elite swimmers.

Our aquatics facilities include three 50 metre pools, a dive pool and a water polo pool - all fully compliant with World Aquatics standards. Our venue offers space for learning to swim with swimming lessons for kids and adult swimming lessons, casual lap swimming, competition training and events. Whether it's enjoying some summer swimming, or taking advantage of holiday swim programs in the winter, there's no better place in Perth to get in the water.

Over the years, we've proudly hosted major events such as the 2022 Diving National Championships, 2022 Artistic Swimming National Championships, 2019 Water Polo Intercontinental Cup and the 1998 World Aquatics Championships.

* VenuesWest venues are not free public facilities, they are a user pay facility. Given the size of our Aquatics facilities, their multipurpose use and the volume of people they attract, spectator fees are charged to cover these associated costs. When a spectator enters the venue, they are at liberty to use all amenities available including toilets and changerooms, which require regular cleaning and maintenance. Spectator fees help ensure our venues remain fit for purpose so that we can continue to deliver outstanding customer experiences.

With both heated indoor and outdoor 25 and 50 metre pools, there's a size and setting to meet every need whether you're in the slow, medium or fast lane.

Kids swimming lessons

World class facilities and kids programs specifically designed to develop confident, strong swimmers.

Adult swimming

Swim School offers private swimming lessons for beginner adult swimmers as well as group squad lessons for swimmers who have developed the basics.

  • The outdoor pools are accessed via main Reception, accessible from the western and southern entrances to the venue.

  • Please check the Lane Availability before you visit, consider joining one of the many squads who call the venue home or try to swim between 9am to 3pm when pools are generally quieter.

  • We have disabled and pram access to our pools. Disabled toilets changerooms and baby changing tables available.
  • Showers toilets & hairdryers are available. Alternatively bring your own hairdryer & plug in.
  • Yes, all our pools, both inside and outside, are heated and available all year round.

  • Children have to be accompanied by an adult up until 12 years of age.

  • VenuesWest charges spectator fees to cover the costs associated with managing a large multipurpose venue, including essential services such as cleaning and provision of facilities, and in the case of aquatic sports, additional lifeguards, which are required by regulations when there is an increased number of people within the aquatic area.

  • Please check the Lane Availability on our website. The lane availability refreshes at 5am each day.

  • At present we have no lockers on poolside available.

  • Pools are heated to 27ºC.

  • There is a walking/slow swimming lane but you will require a buoyancy belt as all our pools are deep water pools.
