"Exercise shouldn't feel like a chore, finding joy in movement and doing what you love is what motivates success"

    Specialties:

Dance, Flexibility and Mobility Training, Cardiovascular Endurance,  Functional Movement

    Background:

Training in Dance at a very young age, I began with Ballet, moving into Ballroom and Latin Dance training. A passion for movement was formed through expressing the body in motion, leading additionally to Musical Theatre, Cheerleading, and Contemporary Dance. This training formed commitments to exercise, beginning to attend gyms, both for strength training and attending Group Fitness classes.  Leading on to complete a Bachelor degree in Theatre and a master's degree in education, I was dedicated to the creation of choreography, and teaching people the strength in movement as a form of physical expression.

Joining the Zumba Instructor's Network in 2022, I have been working in fitness and group fitness since and would love to work with you to achieve your goals. I believe that every step you take towards your health and wellbeing, no matter how small or how large, should be celebrated. And that finding the exercise that brings you happiness is the best way to do that.

    Background

My journey into movement began in the water. As a competitive swimmer from ages 13 to 19, I had the privilege of representing my country at the Junior World Championships in 2019 and the 2019 South Asian Games. This elite environment sparked a fascination with how the human body adapts to stress, leading me to start home-based strength training at just 13 years old.

My passion evolved from simple push-ups to the complex world of calisthenics—mastering handstands and front levers. This deep dive into the capabilities of human movement drove me to pursue a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science, which I completed in 2022. Today, I am an Accredited Sports Scientist.

Currently, I apply this blend of experience and science as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at the UWA West Coast Swim Club and by leading "Fit for Life" classes for seniors. In my personal time, I try to be a "Jack of all trades," constantly refining my skills in hand balancing, photography, and pen-work art.

I believe in setting goals that excite you, being consistent, and embracing the small wins along the way. The gym has helped me with my mood, confidence, and my overall outlook on life and thus I would like to promote the importance of moving for functionality and prevention of age related illness. I am very passionate about exercise as medicine and preventative healthcare and am thus pursuing my masters degree in clinical exercise physiology in the hopes of further educating and promoting the significance of physical activity and exercise in preventing and treating the incidence of illness and disease.

    Background

Sport and movement have always been a big part of my life. From a young age, I was involved in athletics and cross country, eventually competing at a national level. That experience helped shape my work ethic and love for staying active. Over the years, I’ve explored many different sports and forms of training, but basketball has always been my true passion, and I still enjoy playing and competing today. I started going to the gym when I was 17, and it quickly became something I genuinely looked forward to. Training gave me a way to challenge myself, build confidence, and keep growing both physically and mentally. These days, I continue to train with purpose, working toward personal goals such as Marathons, HYROX events, and hopefully one day, an Ironman. Alongside my own journey, I’ve been lucky enough to study what I love. I completed my Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Sciences at the University of Western Australia, and I’m currently undertaking my Masters of Exercise Physiology. Through both study and experience, I’ve come to appreciate how powerful movement can be, not just for performance, but for overall wellbeing. Outside of training, I enjoy making the most of my downtime by getting outdoors, whether it’s heading to the coast for a surf or getting away on a camping trip. It’s a great way to recharge, stay active, and keep a balanced lifestyle. I believe in setting goals that excite you, being consistent, and embracing the small wins along the way. I'm committed to helping others find joy in movement, build self-belief, and feel supported in whatever goals they set for themselves.

I am originally from New Zealand, having moved to Australia when I was 18. My nationality is of Maori and Cook Island descendant.

My passion for fitness began with my own weight loss journey. Having lost 25kg, this kick started my strong passion for health and fitness. The opportunity to learn from and share my experiences, heavily influenced my decision to change direction as a labourer and become a Personal Trainer.

Having been in the industry for over 6 years, I focus my training and education on setting achievable and realistic goals to encourage sustainable healthy lifestyle changes, not quick fixes.

I believe everyone has the potential to improve on all aspects of life, especially in the area of health and fitness.
